My Vets

A few weeks ago at my vets, they had some forms in the waiting room to fill in if we wanted.

It was a sort of 'competition' to find the Best UK Veterinary practice. Can't remember who it was run by.

Anyway, I, and many others, wrote a review for the surgery and everyone who works there, and today I heard the outcome ........ they have won!

They have won the Gold Award for the best UK Vets. It was on the local TV news tonight.

I know I am always saying what good people they all are, but obviously many others think the same as well, so it's not just me.

I am so pleased for them, they deserve to be recognised for all they do.

Re: My Vets

It sounds like your Vet practice well deserved their Gold Award, Mups

I remember you saying several times that your vet has gone that extra bit more when treating your Beddies. You're very lucky to find someone like that.

Re: My Vets

Yes Mags, Dongle and Meg, I am chuffed to bits for them all.
It is a very old stone building, and has been a veterinary practice since 1874.

They are all nice people, from the receptionists and nurses, right through to the vets themselves.

Another rare and much appreciated bonus is they are open 24/7 with no shipping the out of hours work to any other practice, so you always know you will see a vet that has your animal's medical history at his fingertips.

So many practices shift the out of hours work out to strangers now, often many miles away, and who don't know your animal from Adam.

Yes, they don't come cheap do they, Rehab.

How much is a consultation at your practice, can you remember?
I can't remember what my lot charge at the mo, mainly because my chap often only charges me a 'mini-consultation' price.

Re: My Vets

I can’t remember to be honest, it was a long time ago when we had Alf my previous Yorkie put to sleep, he was 14 years old, it broke me up and I vowed never to have a dog again. I do remember it cost a lot to treat him, but it’s only money.
So far Fang der Wunderhund has not required anything other than shots and yearly checkups. Again worth it.
