Why choose the name Tommy Robinson?
It's because when he founded the EDL having a posh sounding double barrelled name would hardly have been beneficial when it came to credibility with Joe Public, plus choosing Tommy Robinson anchored his identity with Tommy Atkins, the archetypal ordinary bloke facing adversity.

The biggest problem with abuse you speak of is we ignore the victims when they dare to speak out. How many people knew about it before the story broke ? it should have been nipped in the bud years ago but it was almost encouraged.

The very fact that their identity was being withheld from the public should be of much greater concern.
Another man who is being pushed below the parapet because he educates people about Islam is Pat Condell who originally a comedian was gutted when he learned what had become established in our country and set about exposing just what it was.
Google Pat and check out his YouTube contributions.
Nothing remotely funny about what he does today.

There was the little matter of trying to get past passport control in the US after the powers that be who, just as in the UK are terrified of the response by the islamic hoards, decided that he should not be allowed to tell the truth.
