The Yorkshire Vet

Does anyone else watch this? The veterinary sugery in Thirsk?
It was the last episode last night (Tues. Ch.5. 8 pm)

I felt so choked when Peter lost his old dog through illness.
He said he felt his house wasn't a home anymore without his old dog there. So very sad.
I reckon he's a lovely fella - well both the vets are.

Mrs LD will not watch anything like that. She gets too upset.

That's a pity dongles, though I can understand it too, but it's not always sad. It's also good to see the animals they make better.

I'm not sure which series you mean Gumbud? Are you thinking of James Herriot by any chance?

The two vets I am talking about are real vets in their practice today.

Re: The Yorkshire Vet

Mups I have recorded lots of episodes to watch during the football world cup. It's a lovely series
Peter and Julian seem really nice genuine people .

I read with regret that Julian had 'left the practice' after it merged with the Medivet chain
Julian is very much my kind of Vet , I can understand his decision not being a fan of 'chains' myself.

Oh no, that's a shame, I didn't know that Meg.
I agree with your thoughts on 'chainstore' vets, I feel the same. Unfortunately I think that is the way things will be one day, all the smaller independent practices will have gone. It'll be all about big business.

I'm wondering now if there will be another series if Julian has left now?
