It really is time you put your toys back in your pram.

Oh, and I hope you have 27 deep pockets because this convenient cash cow country is going to be putting its own people first from the 29th March 2019.Get used to it!

You'll forgive me if I don't stick a broken bottle in my neck because I upset you.

The request for evidence with regard to your comment that Macron is about to close Calais is a valid one, because I couldn't find any.

It is the lack of evidence and just blind obedience to the dogma of National Populism that has dropped my country in the mire.

If we stay in the EU and their plans come to fruition it will be in a North West Region of the territory formerly known as the UK !!

It's not your country.

It's our country and you are selling it out.

That's nonsense. You talk about "project fear" being a remain approach, but then you say things like this.

If you want to look at what has removed national borders it's a) multinational corporations and b) the world wide web. People in the UK embrace both.

Is this the result of EU membership?

The country that leave voters here have been saying they want to change completely and that Brexit is the first stage of that? Do you think anyone will recognise the UK once the transformation is complete???

I've seen people here say that as a result of Brexit they plan to get rid of the royal family and the house of lords. They also plan to create a socialist paradise. Well if you take away the first two and go for Corbyland then it really won't be our country any more.

I really hope we don't recognise it because it hasn't worked well for a lot of us for years. Food banks and homelessness can be eradicated if we learn to share.

It's not going to happen Julie because there is not enough money to go around.

But the problem with our society is not purely down to tory cuts but down to our culture of individualism. By that I mean that children grow up and then move away from parents to live in their own bubble. Parents are happy for kids to move and then they can concentrate on their own needs. There is a lack of community and accountability.

I reckon various ethnic communities stick together in the UK because they haven't lost this support network but they do not find it in British society. Some people here knock religion but it does provide a community that forms a support network. With the erosion of religious values we are just becoming a nation of mindless consumers who want to gratify needs and not worry about the problems of others.

People talk about WWII as a time when people pulled together. Well that was because they were forced to, by terror, deprivation and necessity. We are currently not going into a war and we have no real sense of community so I don't see how Brexit is going to make anything better if we end up with the "bumpy ride" everyone has gone on about. If you're hoping for a socialist revolution as a result of brexit then the UK won't be the country we know.

There has always been poverty here and without the taxes we use to fund the NHS and social care people will die younger. Without the trade we need to generate employment in the UK you will end up with a contraction of the economy. You cannot make something out of nothing Julie. You can do it for a while and then you end up like Greece.

If you want to know how extreme socialism works in reality ask someone from Cuba or Venezuela.

Re: Napoleon Tribute Act At It Again!

Everyone on this forum is old enough to recognize the future UK after brexit as the one they remember from before 1973.
