The Budget.

Hi

Anyone watching it?

Lots of little giveaways, popular ones at that.

Sounds a lot like a Pre Election giveaway.

They have even abolished PFIs from now on.

A lot of wind being taken out of Corbyn's sails.

Re: The Budget.

I am sure you noted that the Chancellor said that "Austerity is coming to an end" he did not repeat Teresa May's words that "austerity has ended or over." Which pretty much says it all about what politicians say.

Growth over the next 5 years is forecast to be the worst in the whole of Europe.

Love the way that the Tories continue to blame the Labour party for the mess the country was in but fail to mention the casino banking so encouraged by the Tories that did world wide damage. In fact the banks in this country got off very lightly, no matter how many frauds they were found to be guilty of no one was prosecuted.

Re: The Budget.

I will watch the highlights with bated breath later.
I understand some more money is to be allocated to rural broadband which will be music to the ears of people in my hamlet with a maximum speed of 2mbps.
BT have been paid millions to cherry pick the easy communities with not a thought for those of us who live in rural villages.

Re: The Budget.

One thing that’s already been announced, an extra 30 billion to invest in the roads from 2020, well it’s not new money, it was already earmarked by George Osborne in his 2015 budget, by scrapping the tax incentives for less polluting vehicles, to be spent on the road infrastructure from....2020..
