it doesn't bother me if I 'miss out' really, I've got enough going on in 'real life' to keep me busy.I'm spending less and less time on social media as time goes by as I don't enjoy it as much as I used to. I do however love to play games on the facebook platform.

Im happy to dip in and out as and when I feel like it.
Just picking up on something Floydy said about PMs being used for sniping behind others backs ,its no suprise to me that this is happening .Where you have "private msging" Ive always found there is bitching and gossiping and backbiting behind the scenes.
I am starting to use the internet more in "moderation" than I used to and that is a good thing. Seems you do the same.
I uses to spend half the night on the forums, pounding away on that keyboard, even when I had a bad headache......
I would still rather do email than pick up the phone.

I often don't come online until well into the afternoon, some days I prefer not to at all. I like people contact face to face, As well as my swimming in the morning I like the coffee and chats some of us have afterwards, but not every day.

I do suffer with FOMO-OFF though. I love this forum and the people who reside here, and I give it as much time as possible without impacting too much on other 'real life' experiences. I don't see it as something to be resisted and thought of as a bad habit, quite the contrary, It's the modern way of communicating and making friends, discussing everyday topics and meeting people with similar interests.
I don't really care who can read my PM's, I would never write anything that I wouldn't write on the open forum. I don't come on here to snipe, verbally abuse or talk about other members behind their backs. I come on here to enjoy everyone,s company and comments and usually 'butt out' if it gets too intense, but I rarely need any 'Time Out'.....
