That sounds just like me Omah.....
I haven't the time or the inclination to spend every waking hour flicking between facebook, twitter and Over Fifties Forum. I used to subscribe to facebook but it was too invasive and time consuming, so I kicked it into the long grass. Same with twitter, although I still have a twitter account, it comes in handy occasionally.
As with all new things though, it was worth the experience at the time.
I do suffer with FOMO-OFF though. I love this forum and the people who reside here, and I give it as much time as possible without impacting too much on other 'real life' experiences. I don't see it as something to be resisted and thought of as a bad habit, quite the contrary, It's the modern way of communicating and making friends, discussing everyday topics and meeting people with similar interests.
I don't really care who can read my PM's, I would never write anything that I wouldn't write on the open forum. I don't come on here to snipe, verbally abuse or talk about other members behind their backs. I come on here to enjoy everyone,s company and comments and usually 'butt out' if it gets too intense, but I rarely need any 'Time Out'.....
