Re: I ordered my first cookery book

Hang on there don't you think girls should be taught that stuff too

I cannot comment---I went to an all male minor public school

good old 11+

But beware men in the kitchen-we do tend to get a bit precious and wash up as we go along -(fuss that means)

The jury is still out on that one. He's considerate enough to always clear his plate so that I don't have to feel it was a waste of time and effort and he is very caring about what he eats.

Seriously he is a my best friend and soul mate.

Re: I ordered my first cookery book

The past few months have shown me another form of food torture-I cook for one as my wife cannot swallow-but she can smell what I cook.

I hate watching her wired up to a pump dripping gunge into her via a tube as I eat away.

But in time and with luck she should recover fully---and then we can share a meal together again

OG, that must be so horrible for her: seeing you able to eat, smelling the lovely cooking aromas and not being able to share. And not easy for you; I do hope recovery will be very soon.....
