Speaking of lard Mags, . . we used to have sandwiches of that with HP brown sauce an a pinch of salt, . . we spread it on like butter.

Another delicacy is cheese and jam, the sweetness of the jam takes the bitter taste off some cheeses, . . . I'm just off to have one of them, . . aint had one in years.

paste and cucumber sandwiches. Cheese and apple and if we were really lucky a bag of crisps that my grandad had bought home with the blue packet of salt hidden at the bottom. Favourite pudding at school was gypsy tart . I loved the bread pudding that my mum used to make, we'd eat it cold sometimes spread with butter.

Sun-Pat peanut butter sandwiches, . . spread thickly then sprinkled with salt, . . . I got a jar yesterday and had two of em last night, . . . burp.

Bread and golden syrup ......mmmmmm! I think that was my favourite as I never used to like jam.

Jam sandwiches on the beach and of course the sand...........

My mum used to fill a large tin biscuit full of jam sandwiches and we spent the whole day on the beach
