Re: Roberts Poems (part 3)
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
He sat there all day till evening did fall
He sat there all night and heard the owl hoot
He couldn’t get down and had lost his left boot
He shouted and shouted until his egg broke
The yoke tumbled out gave him a sore throat
He slid down the wall on a wall of egg white
And landed quite softly then sat there all night
His egg stuck together as sun fried leftovers
Along came the kings men and said
You’d make a good pavlova
So up jumped old humpty
And dumped on the wagon
And they took him to meet the King and his dragon
The King said you fell dear humpty my man
He said no not really my Lord but I’d love a frypan!!
