Re: Hypertension/heart diet?

I don't believe what I'm reading here, if any side of my body went numb I'd be straight to the doctors, it's no good diagnosing yourself.

Getting back on topic....... Sue, how is your OH now? Is he still experiencing numbness in his left side?
Any unusual symptoms should be notified to ones doctor so that they can be treated accordingly.

Kathleen. Just copy & paste it in to Word I've copied it again for you.

Annie darlin' you don't have to cut out red meat for your OH. Get yourself a slow cooker (if you haven't already got one) and go find a decent proper butcher in your area. Safari meats - Buffalo, Eland, Kangaroo, Kudu, Ostrich, Wildebeeste and Zebra are all alternative options to beef and because there's no fat on these, they are a very healthy option. To cook, once defrosted, make a marinade - equal portions of: Balsamic Vinegar, Soy sauce and worcester sauce. Leave meat in marinade for up to 2 hours. When ready to cook, lift out of marinade, toss in plain flour and flash fry with an onion and some garlic for about 4 - 5 mins. Lift out with slotted spoon and place in slow cooker, peel and prepare whatever veg you want to go with this and place in frying pan for a few minutes. Place 1 tsp Bisto powder and an oxo cube into the marinade and stir vigorously until dissolved. Pour over veg in frying pan. Marinade will thicken because of the flour as it boils. When that happens, pour sauce and veg over meat in slow cooker and switch on. Leave for 3 - 4 mhours. Voila!!! a delightful meat casserole that is both nourishing and healthy because there's no fat in the meat.

Have you not got Office Word or Notepad or Wordpad. You should have something that you can type into. Have a look in all programmes & accessories

Re: Hypertension/heart diet?

Jimmy, I don't believe what I'm reading here either. Recipes for fun about slaughtered wildlife probably due for early extinction because of the greed of mankind, yet again? What's the matter with folk?

I thought this to be a serious topic about Annie's husband being in denial about a possible life-threatening situation.

No wonder Annie abandoned this thread as it wasn't very helpful to her.

I think this thread has been missed because it's in Food & Drink, rather than Health and Fitness.

Annie, can't believe this important thread was high jacked for a bloomin reciepe. Come on folk order there please, there is a perfectly good reciepe thread.

Annie, just interested in how your husband is. Smoking and drinking all that coke is what a teenager does until he realises that he is being a fool then he stops. Pretty sure hubs is not a teenager so what is his problem? He needs to stop smoking and start drinking something else even if it is diet coke without caffiene, you know that he would actually feel unwell because caffiene is like a drug to him now.

But the message has to be Go To The Doctors and get checked out.
