Excuse my heat.

The UK 's new aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth is now 100 days from launch, although still some way from completion and commissioning. The Navy is purchasing from the US of A the Lockheed Martin F-35B V/STOL joint fighter to operate from the ship.
The planes manufacturers have run into a slight problem, the plane is twice as large as our old harrier and it's engines are twice as powerful. when performing a vertical landing on a concrete airstrip the engines pointed straight downwards are destroying the airstrip. At present it can only v. land on specially laid heat resistant pads.
I hope they have warned our Navy of this or we will have a cooked crew and no paintwork topsides.
