This has come about because women nowadays have far too much equality.

We usually agree when it needs to go on but not when it needs to go off. So I just switch it off.

No if it's cold during the day I put the heating on as he isn't here and in the evening when I am out he gets the control.

We have separate bedrooms so I can sleep in the Arctic and he can sleep on his tropical island. No arguments we just find a way to coexist.

I tend to suffer from cold feet. I would have to turn the heating up to a very high temp to cure it. What I tend to do is put the heating on and made a nice fat, boiling, hot, squashy water bottle which I put my feet on. After a while my feet are back in the land of the living and I then become too hot all over which signals the time to lower the central heating temp.

When I was married the boss used to drive me mad with constantly fiddling with the thermostats in different rooms.

The temperature was up and down like a yoyo.

Simple solution, I disconnected them and put a master one in the fish tank stand, the one place she never went.

She was happy,fiddling away with the stats, I was happy, a nice constant temperature and life went on.

She never cottoned on.

No one to argue with, so I can do what I want with the Stat.

I feel the cold, hubby not as bad as me, usually heating is set at 18C, I do have a 15 tog duvet on the bed in winter and summer and a blanket on top in winter. He never questions if its too warm you just notice him shedding jumpers lol

Usually, when I try and joke like that it seems that some people don't like the heat and try and to roast my chocolate peanuts!
