Re: christmas cards sent abroad !

I always have 2 to go to the USA every December as my friend's birthday is also at the end of the month. No, it's not cheap, I agree.

I so wish she'd get a computer and broadband, and an email address. I fear she has none of them. Costs me a fortune sending physical letters, and she wonders why I leave many months in between writing!

We are sending to Jordan this year got to cram everything into smallest size they carry and keep it under 2kg and it will still cost Ģ11, also sending to USA I think it's going to be over Ģ3 for that card.

Still can't complain at least the USA one will always get there the Sri Lankan one is not quite so guaranteed.

Re: christmas cards sent abroad !

For me to send a small sized Christmas card second class to UK via British post costs me 1.60 euros. It cost me 10.90 euros to send a small parcel of baby clothes second class, itīs never arrived, it was posted on 6th October.
From Correos the same size card cost 90 cents, so now I brave the often long queues in the Correos and send all my post from there, they havenīt lost anything yet. In fact a parcel I posted to Japan on a Monday arrived at itīs destination on the Thursday, pretty good going I think.

I will be doing mine today. One to Australia, one to USA and
a Caldendar to France. Expecting a shock.

Haven't sent cards abroad yet & I do have several pen pals.
Sending two parcels was bad though. Neither very large, though the American one was in a box, that cost me Ģ14 & the South African one, in a plastic post bag, cost me Ģ7. Scandelous postage rates here.
