Re: DWP still arrogantly insisting on cuts to disabled claimants benefits.

Just to add , I worked for many years for age uk. They have people there who are willing to help fill out forms and assist you in your claims pack . If anyone is concerned do contact them .

How soon do they let you know if it's been awarded, anyone know?

Yes, I've been thinking the same Tess. He hasn't posted all day, so don't know if that's good or bad news.

Nom I don't know what your problems are, and I wont ask, but my sister has a few problems and the officials told her that she would have to start claiming dole and look for work, rather than get disability benefits. She mentioned this to her doctor and asked for further pain killers, if she had to work, and the doctor told her she shouldn't work and helped her reclaim her ESA by writing a letter saying that she was unable to work. She says you should explain things to your doc and see if he can do something similar for you.
I know it is none of our business, but we all need help sometimes, and I think you should find somebody, that you trust, to discuss things discreetly with because 2 heads are always better than one. There are a few of us on here who would be happy to help, if you wanted us to.

Nom matey, been there, done that with dozens of claimants that have asked for my help and assistance. If the worst comes to the worst, you have a right of appeal against whatever decision they make, and if you need my help in doing so, you have but to ask.

Thank you UJ. Nom has a harem of ladies, all wanting to look after him, but I expect he would prefer help from you.

Thank you Nom matey, I'm not a carer, but I can act as an advocate for you, have many years experience of doing so as I was a co-founder of a Law Centre more than 40 years ago.
