Fresh? Glitches? I'm sorry but you are talking about a country that managed to create mad cow disease and made salmonella endemic in poultry. (Both are banned from being imported into this country because the risk of disease is too great)

It doesn't matter where it comes from you would be better off importing basic foodstuffs and using the available land for niche value added products.

Other way round, import the niche products we cant grow ourselves. makes much more sense better for the environment, employment, our own control, over our own agriculture.

We were not self sufficient 75 years ago, hence the Atlantic convoys, we have no chance now.
