Just a little pondering here............

Listening to ,or reading the news, you will hear three primary references to a government. Democracy, Communist , and / or Socialist. In reality, do any of these description truthfully any present government? Or do they misrepresent themselves in an attempt to fool the world into believing they are true societies representing what is best for their countries and citizens.

1- Is any country a true Democracy?
2- true Communism?
3- true Socialist ?

Societies may look to define themselves as they choose. But as long as the Ego is present in these societies their leaders will be front and center. They will be called one way and their leaders will impose their will another way. So perfection does and will never exist in the world.

Democracy, Communism ir Socialism is not the solurion to the world's problems. Their must be a change in the inner thinking of man. Where love and harmony prevails above everything else. Sound Utopian, but we must change how we think, and how we as a society truly live. But again, that will always be a tuff ladder to climb as long as the Ego dominates our world.

There can be no true political ideology for a society because, once a party is in power, it has to seek to represent by consensus, which is all well and good, but, pulls the initial ideology into one big pit of radical centrism, which goes round and round and round.............

Hi

We have democracy here.

But do we?

The thing is sewn up by the two big parties who decide our system, who we can vote for and when we can vote.

Our countries, like Switzerland, have far more true Democracy.

I think we are labouring under , pun intending, that we have a true democracy.

Keep your eyes focused on Spain. The King recently desolved the government because they could not come to an agreement as far as which polical party would take control. So on June 26th they will have a new election. The PODEMOS political party is masquerading as to have the will of the people in mind. Though behind the sweet talk and the friendly smiles by their political leaders hides the communist ideology..

Spain has gone through a lot since the death of Francisco Franco. I doubt that Spain will ever again be under control of a dictatorial regime. But it will be interesting to see the final outcome of what is taking place in their political arena

I would say it is impossible for a country to be all one thing because humans are individuals with independent thought (although true thought may often be concealed for the sake of self-preservation) .

Democracy contains an element of having the ability to express ones thoughts without fear of reprisal.
Unfortunately the thoughts of some can have such a malignant influence on others they have had to be suppressed and this removes a degree of democracy .

Back in the old days of Yugoslavia, I holidayed there for two weeks. In the mountain areas, the women were chopping logs and lived on goat's cheeses but by the sea, hotel waiters were driving around in brand new cars (albeit Yugos). So communism certainly wasn't working then.

We haven't been a 'true' democracy since 1655, following the dissolution of Parliament by Oliver Cromwell.
