Look at it this way.
Corbyn is keeping quiet because if the decision by the public is to leave, this will create problems to the Tory government, and he dosn't want it to appear that Labour where out of step with the choice of the public.
He's sitting on the fence but obviously leaning towards the remain side.

Believe it or not, there's an alterior motive to everything that guy does.
The only answers he has to anything is what he has learned by rote. He thinks if he repeats the same old things people will believe him.
Well, we'll see, when we're all moaning about leaving and he's sat there with a smug expression...
