Chief Hypocrite - par excellence!!!

Not so long ago Cameron promised that he would bring immigration figures down to below 100,000. Earlier this week it was announced that the current immigration figures are more than 333,000.

Now it transpires that Cameron is prepared to accept large amounts of immigration as a cost of our membership of the EU. Doesn't that make this country's biggest hypocrite???

No it says that the process of uncontrolled immigration started Labour and still supported by your idol Corbyn is impossible to stop unless we leave the EU.

Higher immigration may have started under the previous labour Government but in 2010, when Cameron became Prime Minister he PROMISED to bring that higher immigration figure down to below 100,000. Instead of which under his 'watch' immigration has continued to rise and now stands at over 330,000. In answer to that that figure, now Cameron says that high immigration to the UK is the price of our membership of the EU, making him one of the biggest hypocrites going!!!

It doesn't matter if we have Labour or Conservative, in or out of the EU, High levels of immigration will continue until we have a government that's prepared to stand up for Britain and it's people

Double edged sword, because the nasty party are so successful in running the economy there is a price to pay.

Cameron admits the figures are 'disappointing' but blames the strength of the UK economy and says 'wrecking' it not the answer

Cameron admits the figures are 'disappointing' but blames the strength of the UK economy and says 'wrecking' it not the answer.

so here lies the answer for Cameron:
Leave the EU, the economy goes bust, the Europeans wont apply for visas, cos it wont be worthwhile coming, there'll be jobs for our own, the employment rate will fall, benefit costs will go down
problem solved.
or will it be?

Its facile to speak of hypocrisy. I should think he meant what he said at the time. The circumstances have dictated that he can't follow through. The circumstance being the EU.Whilst ever we are part of it the situation will be the same.

I repeat this was a process not just started under Labour but actively encouraged.

I might also point out that in whinging about broken promises in both caps and bold you are beginning to sound like a small child. But, you promised Mummy, you promised.

A weak and facile attempt to excuse him - can't do any better than that??? - just remember his PROMISE was an election promise - you amongst others have criticised Cameron for abandoning election promises previously, and Cameron placed Immigration control at the head of his election, so its one he SHOULD have stuck to. Furthermore, he should have known that if he was unable to comply with that promise, due to our membership of the EU, then he should not have made the promise in the first place - an ignorant, arrogant sod who has no conception of how our current political system works despite the fact that as Prime Minister he should know.

Re: Chief Hypocrite - par excellence!!!

Hi

Net Migration last year was 333,000.

149,000 of those were from outside the EU, so we could make a start with them, particularly as those were not all high flying essential workers, many were family members, new wives and husbands from Radical Muslim areas.

Of course, if we trained our own youngsters properly we could restrict Immigration even more.

We could be here all day discussing broken promises. That's all part of politics unfortunately: Like when BLiar promised not to introduce tuition fees but did it anyway.
