Quote from your link: Consumer goods giant Unilever, for example, has a commitment to source 100% of its palm oil, which is used in cooking, snack foods, soaps and shampoos, from sustainable sources.
This is a load of bollox. It is nigh on impossible for palm oil "trees" to be grown sustainably. I've seen what happens when the land they're grown on becomes totally depleted of natural resources and poisoned because of over-use of synthetic pesticides and fertilisers. It is barren after about 15-20 yrs tops, not even grass and weeds can grown on it. It is suitable only for building houses, factories and shopping malls.

Unilever are more than likely trying to improve their public persona after their Ben & Jerry's ice-cream brand tanked after they jumped on the bandwagon supporting the BLM. The product is being left on the shelves of shops and supermarkets thus making a gaping hole in their profits.
