Good for you Suey! I'm sure you'll have great fun with your new camera. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't take good pictures with a pocket camera. Every time I hear that I post a few of my photos taken with my 10 mpixal Nikon S550, an old model now. Shoot lots of pictures and post them for us to see.

Bob, what do you think of the little Nikon Coolpix L 2? I'm far from a serious photographer but I do like mine very much and think it's not bad for a point-and-shoot camera. Most of my pics are cats and flowers anyway ...

I owned both an L1 & L2 pocket Nikon. I loved both cameras. I gave my L2 to my best friend after discovering he was headed to Christmas without a camera. It seems one of his grandchildren dropped his old camera in the creek. He's still using that L2 with good results.

Thanks! That's nice to hear, especially coming from a serious photographer like you. Mine is about 6 years old.
