Re: Would you be lost without your computer!!?

I scream out loud when my PC is not working properly, I get so frustrated, never been without one since I first had one, could not imagine my life without it now, I do have other hobbies but playing Scrabble on line is my first port of call as soon as I get up, ( so competitive), no wonder I have high BP.!

Re: Would you be lost without your computer!!?

I got my first Personal Computer back in 1980 when my employer, McDonnell Douglas, put together an initial task team to teach its 45,000 employees how to use them.

One of the most difficult things to teach my students was how you could use them to make life/work easier. It was a hard sell back then.

Look how far we've come. I use my 3 computers to surf the web, store my photographs, download & order software, music & just about everything else. I use mine to read books, listen to music, watch movies & tv. I edit photographs, send them to friends as well as upload them to the dozen forums I've joined.

My wireless broadband internet connection allows me to do my banking, pay all my bills, keep track of my retirement accounts and download every federal & state government form in existence. When my job ends August 1st I'll file for Unemployment Benefits online as well as apply for new jobs. That part is just for show but it can be done. I got my present job 4 years ago online. I even found my apartment, turned on the utilities and found the local shopping center all from 3,000 miles away.

Yes, I would be lost without my computers and my broadband internet connection. What would I do in the bathroom perched on my throne but check my e-mail & the weather forecast for the day? LOL

Oh Cassie, what a nuisance! At least you have somewhere to go; if mine went down I'd have to go to the library! And sessions are timed!
