If I've moved aside... held a door...apologised out of politeness...and NOT received a thank you or acknowledgement..
I say quite loudly (for me!) "No!

I am always saying ‘sorry’ in supermarkets too, especially if l have to walk past someone who is staring at the shelves. They stand so far back that you have no choice but to walk in front of them.
