Just out of interest, I checked the Warburton site and was shocked to find the price is £28 for 12 330ml (small) bottles, i.e. £2.33 each, plus delivery charge of £6.99 .....

Tesco do a Toast Session Ale (330 ml cans) at £6.00 for 4 but I don't shop at Tesco.

Waitrose do a Toast Pale Ale (330 ml can) for £1.99 but I'm not driving 25 miles to Waitrose for a can of beer at that price.

Cheaper to alternate between a slug of beer and a bite of toast/crumpet.

Postscript...Nothing against crumpets. Love em. Love a beer..I'm an Aussie for god's sake! But crumpet beer?..Can't get my head around it. I like me croompit with a nice coopa tea innit!

Re: Warburton's Crumpet Beer

Morti I was rather hoping for a nice bit of rippling muscles type crumpet perhaps pulling a pint or two or bare chested and carrying a beer keg above their heads up a craggy mountain! The reality is a bit of a let down, you've dashed my hops somewhat!
