It's called a non-tarrif barrier. Macron wants to prevent cheap food imports because it will destroy Frances economy.

Did you know this when you were collecting your evidence?

Ofcourse not, just more insults and cheap shots. No intelligent argument again from you I see.

You should move to Dublin with your mate so you can gorge on cheap squid from Argentina.

Zzzzzzz Cheap shots indeed, you mean cheap chops don't you?

Oh so now, along with your other cr.. as swims points out, you presume to know the workings of the mind of The President of France. Any body else you'd like to add to your list?

Thanks again for the offer of moving to Dublin.

Whichever party we voted in would just get "leaned on" by the elite and assimilated into their ranks. The last 40 years should have taught us that. It hasn't mattered who we voted for these past 40 years. They have all worked for the EU, done their bidding, played their part in the great sham, signing each successive treaty.

The entire political system needs to change.

Britain needs a proper constitution pulling together that mandates that we can never ever be sold to a foreign power nor ruled by one nor have our justice system over ruled etc etc.

That's the foundation, which must be enshrined in law which can not be changed arbitrarily by monarchs or politicians and which would require a referendum to abolish.

Then we go from there.

That FTA is bad for the French farmers. There will be a lot of push back from them and the unions.

The Irish aren't too happy either

Re: Oh No

The EU have finalised so many trade deals over the past 12 months you have to assume they are absolutely bricking it at the prospect of the UK leaving.

Brazil, to cope with EU demands for cheap beef, are hacking down the rainforests at record speed. A football pitch sized area of forest felled every minute.

Still, it leaves a great opportunity for France and Ireland to re-wild their cattle pastures to try to replace the loss of the Amazonian rain forest, after all, Europe won't be needing their beef now.

I think that's on top of the one's with Japan and Australia

There is no free trade deal with Australia yet - still in negotiation. It took two years of negotiation to agree on the terms of the negotiations. The actual negotiations with the EU started in the middle of 2018 and are ongoing.

(Negotiations were not helped by Australia having rows with Italy by banning the import of their canned tomatoes and Greece over banning the import of something else, I forget what - all to do with our strict bio-security rules)
