Yellowhammer released!

Government released its report on possible effects of a
no deal brexit tonight!
It is no more than the BS we have had to endure for three
years as part of the eu campaign to keep uk tied to eu?
this campaign has been carried out clandestinely with the
help of whoever has a vested interest in remaining!
The media is presenting this as new info and is portraying
the findings as facts instead of possiilities!
Imo it is a non event being blown up to alarm voters?
Along with calls for another referendum they hope to sway
enough voters to affect a ref result!
You will notice that an early election is not an option they
favour as that would put their parties bat risk!
I notice that Aljerzeera has joined the media coilition against
brexit??
Regards @Donkeyman!

It's a joke.

Risk assessments ....

If you don't like the answer just keep doing the risk assessment until you do

Named after birds apparently.

Great Tit might have been a more appropriate choice.

....Quite and the whole point of a risk assessment it is to spell out the worst possible scenario for an event so that preparations can be made to counteract any adverse effects.

Many Remain supporters in Parliament must know this and are making a song and dance about it as part of a strategic plan to prevent us leaving the EU.

Any risk is calculated with the same formula:: risk equals impact multiplied by probability: Risk=Impact X Probability . Impact is the effect on the organization should a risk event occur. Probability is the likelihood the event could occur within a given timeframe.
The risk can be weighed against the cost by deviding the risk by the cost.
So even if an event is very unlikely to occur, and the effect is very large, the risk is can still be large. In the case of brexit the probability is high, almost 1. So in that case, if the risk is high, the effect is automatically high.

Hi

Spot on, it is a worst case document, it is not what is going to happen.

You should read my study on risk assessments.

I'll give you an example, what is the difference in mitigation effort between a risk of 45 and a risk of 47 using your number calculations ?

Re: Yellowhammer released!

The trouble with many Remain supporters is they don't know what they were voting for.

We could do with a risk assessment for staying in the EU for example the prospect of our children/grandchildren being conscripted into a European army, our taxes being set by the EU, our money being used to support the Euro in EU countries with failing economies the dreadfull possibilities are endless.
