What would happen with those funds if:
The EU grants an extension till januari 2020.
You leave, according to article 50(3) from the date of entry into force of the withdrawal agreement. That is not the date the HoC ratifies the deal/bill, but the date the EU has done so too. The first programmed date is november 14.
So if you are betting, don't do so for the date of 31 october.

I agree the numbers of illegals allready in uk R1!
On the rubber dingies l also agree, but you forget that they have

And as we have allready seen the number of dingies detected have

I agree people are coming via air as well, but these tend to be the

If you shorted the pound you only win if the pound is low on your agreed selling date. If there is a deal or even a good chance of a deal the pound will almost certainly go up from its current position.

For Nigel to get his pay day he really needs a no deal.

BUT? The pound may go UP with no deal, as it did when exit date
was approaching on one of the many earlier attempts at
escaping?
WHAT THEN???

Only until an extension is granted. Then it is international law, superceding law of uk.

I've really not seen this. So far the markets wrt Brexit have been completely consistent.

We voted out which surprised many and the pound went down
May agrees a deal with EU, pound goes up
May's gets thrashed in HOC, pound goes down and so on.

If the pound went up with an exit date approaching its because something had made no deal less likely on that particular occasion.

Markets tend not to make mistakes because money is involved. Markets perceive no deal as a bad thing. Now if you know something the markets do not know you could make yourself a fortune but most people do not.

LOL! Solly, where did you dig that from?? OH! you googled again!
Regarding the markets and currency values l dont think they are
driven entirely by rationality but also by the laws of chance and
by fear etc! Therefore if you have enough resources you have the
ability to influence results by manipulations!
And another factor is influence of the rating agencies who are
mainly based ln usa, and are therefore vulnerable to political
interferance?
