Von Leyden and Barnyard this week sounded like they were
demanding we request an extension with all the usual threats
and warnings we have got used too!
Boris did not seem phased by them?

Hi

It is just posturing, the usual stuff.

Boris wants a full deal by the end of the year, the EU have said he can't have one.

All Trade deals are essentially compromises.

You're right of course. The question is what trade-ofs boris is prepared to accept. And will the HoC and his voters be able to understand?

Re: Is EU requesting an extension??

If the EU rulers have told us that we cannot have a full trade deal by the end of this year, why are we still discussing the matter - at our own great expense?

Boris should tell them that if there is no possibility of a deal by the end of the year, the talks are off and no more payments to them.

We have already learnt that when they are faced with a firm hand they back down and stop demanding. Traitor May was too weak to play on this, of course.

If Boris takes a hard line and waves goodbye to them once and for all, they'll come scuttling back almost immediately with a changed attitude.

If they don't want to trade with us, off we go and trade with everyone else.

Because boris c.s. is not in the same league as barnier and his team. Barnier made may pay 39 bn, and boris fell for the the remains of the that amount. That says it all, don't you think?
