Re: Cataracts

Mollie darlin' - I promise you'll be fine. You'll need a chaparone to take you home afterwards though as you won't be able to see in one eye for a while (they don't do both eyes at the same time but in turn separated by time).

Re: Cataracts

Folk's, this is also an issue which is affecting me. Like Mollie, I also have a 'thing' about anyone poking about near my eye's, so I really do empathise with you, Mollie!.
I was told by my Doc some three year's ago that I had the early stages of cataract's, but he also told me that it wasn't necessary to wait until they were fully mature, given the latest procedure's, and they could be sorted much sooner.
However, (due to my 'phobia'), I've been putting it off, but the vision in my right eye is now closely akin to looking through a lace curtain, and my lefvt one ain't much better...(I've had to give up driving, pro temp, until they're sorted!)...so it look's like I gotta just take my gut's in my hands...(not literally, you understand?)...an' get it done!.
You go for it, Mollie...which do you prefer, dear?...a coupla hour's at the Hozzie, or being blind for the rest of yer life?...(your call, me dear?).

Yes, I'll have to get my brother to drive me. I was sort of hoping they would do both at once to get it out of the way.

I'm still able to drive alright at the moment but to answer your question, no, I don't want to go blind 'cos if I did I wouldn't be able to come on here and pester everybody!

I'll let you know how I get on.

Re: Cataracts

Please do let us know Mollie, I know it won't be half as bad having it done, as the fear you are suffering.

Falc matey, as may have seen from reading earlier contributions on this thread, you may have seen that Dragon (my Mother) had cataract operations some years ago - she was 78 years old at the time.

I know you're apprehensive about this operation, but are you going to let a 78 yr old woman beat you to the punch??? - Go for it matey and git 'er done!!!
