Hello JBR,
can you explain how the UK is intending to transport fruits, vegetables, maybe milk and stuff like that into the UK if all these things are being sourced from outside the EU?
I thought if you intend sourcing from e. g. north Afrika, north/south Amerika, Turkey and other non-EU countries then you woukdn't need the tunnel anyway, right?
If you transport all those goods by ship then you are fine, again no problem.
I assure you that I have absolutely no need of the Channel Tunnel.
We live on an island. Consequently, we have two means of transporting any goods of any kind, if you exclude the Tunnel: by air or by ship.
How about bananas?
How do they come here?
How do they come to Europe because, as far as I'm aware, bananas don't grow in Europe?
Europe is unnecessary for the supply of our food.
We even survived for five years during the war without the aid of Europe with regard to food.
Surprisingly, perhaps, we can even supply our own milk!
