What a brilliant suggestion! I understand there's presently a vacancy in Westminster, you could apply and if voted in make all that happen! On the other hand though, and being realistic, if you didn't get that particular job just become an MP, promise all those benefits and then just don't implement any of them!

For those who think that it is necessary to have a licence here is an interesting link. Apparently you only need a licence these days if you watch live broadcasts or BBC iPlayer. Since many TVs these days connect to the internet the answer to the BBCs mean spirited action would be to purchase something like Netflix or something and give BBC the elbow, particularly since there is so much rubbish and repeats put out by them these days.

That's a great idea, it could come out of our foreign Aid budget.

I would be happy for Netflicks to charge another tenner per month if they could supply their own news programmes. Then we could ignore the BBC along with other channels and their adverts.

Look someone has to pay Gary Linekers £1.8 million pound salary for talking football baldocks .

Not to mention Graham Nortons £600k and Fiona Bruce's £190k ( maybe she's just part time )

Why do I need a TV Licence?

A TV Licence is a legal permission to install or use television receiving equipment to watch or record television programmes as they are being shown on TV or live on an online TV service, and to download or watch BBC programmes on demand, including catch up TV, on BBC iPlayer. This could be on any device, including TVs, desktop computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, games consoles, digital boxes, DVD, Blu-ray and VHS recorders. This applies regardless of which television channels a person receives or how those channels are received. The licence fee is not a payment for BBC services (or any other television service), although licence fee revenue is used to fund the BBC.
The requirement to hold a TV Licence and to pay a fee for it is mandated by law under the Communications Act 2003 and Communications (Television Licensing) Regulations 2004 (as amended). It is an offence to watch or record television programmes as they are being shown on any channel and on any broadcast platform (terrestrial, satellite, cable and the internet) or download or watch BBC programmes on demand, including catch up TV, on BBC iPlayer without a valid TV Licence.

Be careful be very careful

You need to be covered by a TV Licence to
watch or record programmes as they’re being shown on TV or live on an online TV service
download or watch BBC programmes on iPlayer.
This applies to any provider you use and any device, including a TV, desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, games console, digital box or DVD/VHS recorder.
