The decision was made two years ago, and is done with. The facts, as we all witness are coming to light even in the last few weeks.
By now it is rather black and white, but how to fit the decision to the facts, and not the facts to the decision?

The logistics to effect a Leave may be complicated but that wasn't what the referendum asked.

We were asked if we still wanted to be a part of the EU.

The UK said

NO !

Bravo !
If I am wrong, why is your country so confused and ripped up. Seems the issue was too complicated for a simple no.

The country isn't in any shape or form confused about the result of the referendum.

The majority voted LEAVE. Nice and simple.

No ambiguity there.

You voted, the parliament invoked article 50. Going through the process new information became available. In peoples lives that leads to changing your previous decision. You don't allow yourself that most basic of human decision making, of learning.
Indeed, I couldn't make it up.

Re: Jacob Rees-Mogg

As ever Solasch you appear to be under the misapprehension that the decision to Leave is in some way mixed in with the decision about how we leave.

These are 2 very separate issues.

A woman who has finally decided to LEAVE her husband after sufering years of domestic abuse has made a finite decision.

She may, upon then progressing with the legalities, realise that there are all manner of things to sort out, lots of turmoil and mess.

How and when will the house be sold?
Who gets access to the kids?
How do they split their money and belongings?
and so on

None of that deters from the irrefutable fact that SHE IS LEAVING. That decision has been made and is irreversible.

That there is some turmoil and hardship to get through the process of leaving is expected and will be endured but in the end a Leave will be effected.

Understand you can not frighten us with the Project Fear BS.

Our minds are resolved. We wish to leave whatever the cost.

That's simple Remainer BS as well you know.

EVERY General Election is predicated on misinformation, lack of truth, misleading media output and so on.

Political parties say whatever they want in order to get votes. They promise all manner of things.

Once they are in No 10 we learn more information.

We see that in fact things were not as they seem. That the party is not going to do the things it promised, that there isn't the money to do those things.

Funny, but we don't seem to get to change our minds at that point.

We have to live with the election result even if a party lied its way into power and deceived everyone.

So it is too with the referndum.

Whatever information has been forthcoming since the referendum doesn;t change the result nor is a platform to rehold that referendum.

Not now

Not ever

Like I said son, you're just gonna have to suck it up.

We are leaving
