Here's the Friday round-up:
1. Michael Gove outline's why he's had a change of heart and decided that despite years of saying he wasn't equipped to be prime minister - he's now the right man for the job after all.
2. Chancellor George Osborne abandons his target to restore government finances to a surplus by 2020, saying the economy is showing "clear signs" of shock following the vote to leave the European Union
3. Labour's John McDonnell outlines Labour's vision for Brexit, saying free movement of people and labour would end and the UK's relationship with the EU, including immigration must be debated
4. Boris Johnson wishes Michael Gove every possible success, in his first comments since deciding not to contend the Tory leadership
5. And finally... the three water cannon bought by Boris Johnson for Britain's largest police force for hundreds of thousands of pounds are set to be sold off - without ever being used.
