Re: Questions raised over ferry contract
They might be a new company, as such, but I am firmly convinced they are definitely not 'novices' in this game. They've got form, and probably , ex merchant or ex RN. No one can be Marine Directors without qualifications. They have probably had massive experience through-out their working lives in the same area, and could even be an off shoot of one of the main freight companies.Re: Questions raised over ferry contract
Julie, I don't think we can believe any one of them anymore. Not one political figure. It's a sad state of affairs, but we have to believe in something, or we will go mad.Re: Questions raised over ferry contract
I think most ferries and large ships are leased or chartered anyway.Re: Questions raised over ferry contract
Well yes but main reason I am wondering what is going on is many of the larger companies didn't want the job because they said they don't have the ferries, they are physically different to get into that dock and most companies don't have ferries to fit. So why would a new company with no ferries at all manage to build so many in a few weeks ?
