Re: Veggie /vegan recipes

This thread has got me thinking ... what about a savoury crumble!

root veg par boiled, legumes in crème fraîche (or a white sauce).

Then for the topping .... Butter worked into flour, flaked almonds, grated parmesan ...

Food for thought.

Re: Veggie /vegan recipes

Todays snack infact

Toasted Ciabatta roll with Halloumi

Cut roll in half, toast it under the grill then butter it.

Fry sliced halloumi in olive oil until golden brown
Fill the Ciabatta with the halloumi and add grated cheddar
Add smear of sweet chilli sauce
Return under the grill for a couple of minutes to melt the cheddar
Open the roll and stuff with spinach or rocket

Enjoy!

Re: Veggie /vegan recipes

We eat meat but not everyday, and in small quantities, avoiding the processed stuff and avoiding the supermarket stuff.

I'm always interested in different veggie things, not alway to substitute meat but also to accompany it.
