test photo on a tree section

Not having used the 70-200 mm lens for some time I thought it was about time I got used to using it again.
So this is just a test shot of a part of next doors tree to see how it looks on a forum.





Appears a bit of defination loss on here against the original but that could be down to a number of things.

Ok or not?

Is there something different about this tree RS, it looks like any other tree to me

Mags no it is a test shot as I said. Such as colour- contrast- focus- vinigeretting -brightness- shadows - Aberration- , etc

I'm the wrong person to ask RS, I'm just a point and shooter and haven't an inkling about the do's and don't of photography.

Very sharp with excellent detail on the trunk....

Thanks all for the replies. Obviously it is hard to judge ones own efforts. ok it is a nothing subject which might even be harder to get right?
The more I think about it the more I should have considered like depth of field and focus area and faster shutter speed, used a tripod and wireless trigger to name just a few things, or maybe I am too hard on myself.
