Longdogs - yes, love Devo, interesting music, excellent videos.

Gasman - I have this theory that it is impossible to dislike reggae, you've disproved it!

As I get older I get more liberal with music, I used to very much narrowcast, dismissing much that I now like. Philly soul used to irritate me to almost carpet chewing depths, I now like much of it along with similar music. The same with rap & hip hop, much of it is talentless doggerel cobbled together with lifted samples. But when it is done well, it can be great, see, for example, anything by Public Enemy. It never fails to amuse me that the stirring main sample in Harder Than You Think is lifted from an obscure Shirley Bassey song.

I dared and please do not tell me that I have been educated by a bunch of talentless nobodies.
Jeepers mate, they are as good as a chocolate teapot.
We all have our favourite music and I for one, will not argue about yours.
Music is a personal choice and yours is crap

Adele.
Too many people are tunnel visioned and jump on too many bandwagons.
She's just "average" as far as I'm concerned and her voice actually 'breaks' when she hits the highest notes. Music for depressed, angsty 25 y.o.-bored housewives IMO.

I have a fondness for the unusual and songs that stray from the `normal`.

What do you think of this? One of my favourites

Florence Foster Jenkins.

Unsurprisingly she didn't actually make a living as a singer, but spent her own private income in making herself an (in)famous singer (using the term very loosely).

I'm glad you don't feel educated, there's nothing worse than an educated plumber
