Yes Sue I live on the ground floor - no stairs whatsoever (luckily).

Sue darlin' in relation to your mobility problem - what about some form of stair lift??? - have a look at the video in this - to see what I mean.

Yes, I've seen those. We just rent the house though, and it's not likely the owner will allow an installation.
