Happy Birthday Mummy in Heaven
Today would have been my beautiful Mums 85th Birthday and I wanted to share a poem I wrote for her. Mum loved to hear my poems and I wrote them often for her, so I'll carry on writing them for her.Wasn't she beautiful. Love and care just oozes from her face. I was blessed to have this lady for a Mummy. How I miss her.
Happy Birthday in Heaven Mum 😥
As the waves of grief hit me
Words come to me in poem
Of how I'm feeling today dear Mum
And how I wish you could come home
Today would have been your birthday
I'd have visited bearing a card
But this year that cannot be
And I'm finding it really hard
This the fourth year without you
I'll bring flowers to your grave
I'll talk to you with a broken heart
Remembering all the love you gave
I'll tell you how much I miss you
How the pain has not subsided
I'm still shedding many tears
Since the day we were divided
A comforting thought for me
Is you're in Heaven with our Julia
I can hear your angelic voice
As you sing 'Hallelujah'
Kiss Julia and give her all my love
I think of you both so sadly
You being gone from my sight
Hurts me oh so badly
Happy Birthday Mum in Heaven
I yearn to hug and kiss you
I want to say I love you Mum
And hear 'Beverley I love you too'
Rest in Peace till we meet again
I'll keep in mind your beautiful face
Until we are together again
I'll await your warm embrace
