I remember it. I was 14 I think. We had Welsh migrants in our neighbourhood. I remember their devastation. Lest we forget.

I remember it quite well because of our headmaster talking about it, said we should mourn for them. And we did.

It was unknown for him to mention anything in the news.

Just seeing the name of the village again make me stop and think again of the heartbreaking pictures that I saw and that I was old enough to understand .....

I think I was about sixteen, I passed it several times when I was a courier, and even now the name Aberfan brings back all those tragic memories....God bless em'.....x
