Driving in the Sun

Hi

Two trips to recycling this afternoon.

The sun was so low, bright and so dazzling I was unable to see the first time and had to keep stopping.

I have winter screen wash and good wipers but it really was a pain this afternoon.

Anyone else have problems at this time of year?

Oh yes Swim I really struggle sometimes. In fact today I had to be cautious while driving to the supermarket

My worst problem is night driving , i get so dazzled by oncoming lights and worse if the road is wet

Of course. Doesn't everybody?
The insurmountable problem is when the sun is sufficiently low in the sky that it sits below the fold-down screen.
My solution: drive in the opposite direction.
Drawbacks: you fail to arrive at your preferred destination!

You could use the reverse gear, JBR!

Unless Corbyn has borrowed it!

Susan, I am just the same.
The worst things ever invented are those dazzling blue headlights coming towards you.
I wish they would make them illegal.

Swim, yes I agree the sun can be dazzling too.
I have to leave my sunglasses permanently in the car for this reason.

What always bugs me though, because I am 'vertically challenged,' in winter time when the sun is low, the blessed car sun visor never pulls down low enough.

I wish they would make them with adjustable depth as not everyone is 6ft tall!

Unfortunately, not being an Italian car, it has only one reverse gear.

You could use a seat cushion... or two?

Re: Driving in the Sun

I don't like winter sun, it's so low and dazzling. I've been known to pull over before now. They should make car windows to deflect the sun, that'd be good.

I hate night driving too, I can't do with the lights dazzling me.

How you feeling now Swimmy? Have you got rid of the infection? I hope so x
