We took up ballroom dancing about 13 years ago, in our mid-50s and it changed our life. We have made great friends and expanded our social life enormously. We never wanted to compete and have resisted all urging to do so. Although we live in Dublin we have danced socially in England quite a bit, including the wonderful Tower Ballroom in Blackpool. Any other dancers here?
As Tess says I love dancing and do Modern Sequence ... it's a wonderful pastime and has been proven to be one of the best exercises for both body and mind ... although it is hard work learning over 40 new dances a year and remembering them is even harder
Hi Dancer , and welcome , dancing is addictive , although ive given it up know I use to do Swing Dance , but now and again I cannot help breaking out and letting go when the music is right ..
Of course social sequence at 50/50 dances are the Golden Oldies
Very true, so I suppose we mainly know them Next month we will be at a Phil Hurst dance in Blackpool where he does 50/50. We don't get 50/50 dances over here though.
