Every employer has some kind of disciplinary procedure, ranging from a verbal warning for things like being late, to instant dismissal for the most serious offences.
Depending on the type of business these could include breaches of hygiene or safety procedures; stealing from the company or fellow employees; passing information to competitors
The usual treatment is summary dismissal - handed your notice; clear your desk or locker; and be escorted off the premises, all within an hour
Our Government has been plagued by leaks in recent years, and these must surely warrant such serious treatment; after all, keeping information secure is one of the main functions of government
Whilst I don't think the sun shines out......, at last now with Boris we have a PM who is determined to take firm action
