No. Nor would I ever have done. For someone with an obvious disability or an obviously pregnant woman then possibly, but simply on the basis of them being old? No.

After a day in London we are always offered a seat on the tube .
We obviously look old and exhausted !

She looks great doesn't she...I'm glad no-one stood up for her she was probably one of the fittest on the train for her age.

I would stand for anyone who looked to be in need...a pregnant woman or possibly someone disabled but not necessarily an older person depends if they were struggling.
