No plans for us today other than a long walk with the dogs before lunch with my Mum and then maybe a film this afternoon, perfect....

I know people who have taken their decorations down already but I like to be traditional- I don't take my decorations down until Jan 5th.

Today I'm off to town to spend my Christmas/Birthday gift vouchers. We may have lunch out & make the day of it.

Good morning from ‘out in the rural sticks’ to you all.

‘White rabbits’, ‘pinch and a punch’ and all that on this the first day of a new decade and a new year – a Happy New Year to you all!

It’s cold here this morning. A cloudy day with a few, likely to be short-lived, bright or sunny intervals is the forecast. Maximum temperature 8ºC.

Very much a usual day for me as once again it’s a ‘please myself day’!

I'm just back from the first dog walk of the day. Almost lost one of them in the darkness and fog but they can always find me and my huge torch. Have a great day.

Mine did not start well, Guy had a seizure last night and fell heavily, first time I have seen it happen.

Very scary.

He is OK.

Good morning everyone a strange one too very still and mild with a pink tinge to the sky.

On our early walk the floods and mud were receding. The farmer had bought some big bales of hay for the in-lamb ewes and it smelt lovely, if I closed my eyes I could pretend it was summer

I am heading for a hot shower now after some Yoga stretches, enjoy your day

It’s good to see you back safely with us after your holiday, Barry.

A very gloomy start to the new year here, we still have our lights on. I went to bed earlier last night, slept through and didn’t hear a single firework or shouting at midnight. Nothing planned for today.
