I think the main attraction is the weather. It's not a place I would visit again

I'm debating whether to book a holiday to Malta this November. Mum used to go a lot and this trip is to her favourite hotel.

I did go to Malta decades ago and vowed I wouldn't want to go back, but to be honest all I saw of it was Paradise Bay where my hotel was, a trip over to Gozo (so yes I can confirm it does exist!!), a bus ride to Valetta, and I walked to the Popeye village.

Mum stayed in Sliema and she absolutely loved it, feeling very much at home. I feel like going (as I want a nice holiday this side of Christmas anyway) in honour of her.

So. Do I go? Is it niced that side of the island? I see there are plenty of activities to keep me occupied, one of which is the segway tour. That is great fun.

We visited Malta and Goza about 11 years ago. Sean Connery had just finished filming there. My husband looks very like Sean Connery and everywhere we went people waved and greeted him. Some even asked for his autograph and looked really disappointed when he tried to explain. I think a lot went on thinking he was Connery trying to lurk around under cover

Hi JEM, you're thinking of a BOZO, not OZO. Or mebbe a DOZO, a fine Japanese restaurant.. Then there is a FOZO, A Dutch couch potato.Loso, an American rock band.
