Goodbye NHS

I'm celebrating - I've worked my last ever shift in the NHS and UK and from now on will only be working here in Ireland. I will certainly miss some of my colleagues, but the pleasure of being free from the inefficient beaurocracy is immense!!

Enjoy your well earned retirement. I work in the NHS and have 4 years 11.5 months to go. I suspect I will work part time after retiring because I enjoy seeing the people I care for.

Here's to a long, healthy and happy retirement. I think the Spanish have the best word for a retired person - jubilado (jubilada) - which I suppose means you are jubilant!!

Re: Goodbye NHS

Thanks all! I may have retired from the NHS but I am still working here. But I feel semi-retired as I'm only working part-time as a locum. And it is so much more enjoyable here.

Two dive trips planned for later in the year...
