Yippeeeee. . .
Ours has been cancelled too, but as the stupid shops are selling fireworks I expect people will let them off at home..Sheezeee poor animals.

Oh Gawd Roxy, I bet you're right, I never thought of that.
So we can probably look forward to lots of nearby bangs and flashes in everyone's gardens this year, instead of one big main do for the general public.

The shops should have not been allowed to sell them this year for this very reason.
I know every year some of us say they should be for public displays only nowadays, but while money is to be made, the shops and supermakets will still carry on.

Well there'll be a few fireworks set off at Judd Manor come 31st December to celebrate the end of the transition period and be out of the clutches of the EU.

If you see what looks like a huge explosion accompanied by a mushroom cloud over the Pennines, that'll be my mega-blaster rocket taking off and exploding in the night sky. Just tape your windows up in case the shock wave hits you.

That's an excellent idea, and one to be applauded, J.

Unfortunately, around here, they let off all the fireworks they can lay their hands on, on that day, to celebrate the new year.

This is what fireworks do to my dog, it's awful to watch him so scared. I detest fireworks being let off any old place. Organised displays I can deal with, one night only but this every night for weeks. No.

Yes. Our cats are the same.
I'd really like to outlaw fireworks, at least the very loud ones.
Small, colourful ones are quieter and more attractive but, unfortunately, loud bangs seem to appeal to the young yobs of today.
