Yes ..... over a period of just a few weeks I was "showered" almost daily with promotional email and text messages so I terminated the arrangement and switched to Virgin.

Re: Sim card providers

I am with Giffgaff 'pay as you go' and pleased with the service.
I pay £6 a month for a 'Goody bag' which contains unlimited UK calls and texts and 500 MB data which I can't use because I don't have a smart phone just a Doro mobile .

Never been contacted other that a monthly alert to say my Goody bag has been renewed.

Hi

I was on Giff gaff but signal here is not good.

Vodaphone is the only reliable signal here, but much cheaper on Voxi which uses Vodaphone.

Re: Sim card providers

I've recently moved from O2 to Plusnet mobile sim. £8 quid a month for unlimited calls and texts, and 6gb data per month. We have been on their landline and broadband for over 5 years and their customer service is excellent, I'd recommend them to anyone..

Not personally with Giffgaff, but my neighbour has just removed that sim card and replaced with a PYAG one from Phone Co-op after I recommended their service.
I've been with the Co-op for well over 5yrs and I am very happy with their PAYG in my old non-smart Nokia 130. My wife also uses Co-op and if she calls me while out & about the call charges are 4p per min and charged by the second. The virtual network is provided by EE so good coverage almost everywhere

I've still got 27 emails from GiffGaff in my archive ..... ..... I deleted the texts ..... Maybe I received them because I do have a smartphone .....

I pay £6 a month to Virgin and I get 1000 mins calls, up to 4GB data (with rollover) and unlimited texts .....

Re: Sim card providers

Thanks to all for the the input. It is for a phone for my partner. It will only be used for phone calls, data is unimportant. I will have a think about it.
