Pill Boxes

No not those things made of concrete that we used during the war in case of the invasion. Those little plastic things to organise your daily medication. My wife bought me one yesterday. I looked at it for a few minutes and thought Nah! I'll stick to the tried and tested method of struggling to get the tiny tablets out from the plastic and foil strips.

Re: Pill Boxes

I bought my dad one last week. It's a spring loaded, 7 day x 4 meds a day. He wouldn't know what pills to take himself, so it reassures me when I fill it up. Next step would be a dossett box.

Spring Loaded? Does that mean its a bit like a mouse trap? Is he likely to lose a finger or two?

Re: Pill Boxes

I put my husband's medication in a seven day pill box each week, it works for us.

Re: Pill Boxes

Sounds like a good idea to me. My hubby takes daily medication. I might get him one.
Where do you buy them from please?

Re: Pill Boxes

My other half is on a ridiculous amount of meds. The way I deal with it is by having 14 small containers (like the little plastic tubs that 35mm film used to come in) half labelled AM and half PM. That way I can prepare a week's worth of meds at a time.
After that the only issue is remembering every three days to change her morphine patches.
