I know these things have to happen but his passing has made me sad. I bought a clarinet because of Acker Bilk playing Stranger On The Shore. I tried to play all of his tunes the way he did. I never could manage to get near it. His tone and style were unattainable for me. Thanks for the music and RIP Acker.

Funny that - it always sounds fresh to me, some songs do that, Its Not Unusual is another ........

Strangers on the Shore brought back memories of listening to this with my Dad all those years ago. He has been in spirit now for over 20 years.
